I have a brand new L100. I also bought the 6.5 Bushel Rear Bagger. The bagger was in a factory seeld box and therefore I believe I have all the parts. The instructions are incomplete. For example, on step three the pictue shows parts that came with the bagger already installed even though steps 1 and 2 never indicated how to install the parts. Also, the parts dont fit properly. Specifically the support arm and brace dont seat right and fall out easily. Also, the black tube that connects to the blade shroud doesnt fit even though I'm lifting the plastic and metal blade cover.

I contacted my local dealer and they said they have had many complaints from consumers regarding this accessory and they would be glad to install it for a fee. I contacted John Deere directly and they said to go to the dealer.

I feel that is unfair. I paid 1,500 for the tractor and 300 for the bagger. I didnt anticipate paying additional money to have it installed. I specifically bought the John Deere because of their reputation and to avoid problems just like this one. I feel I got ripped off.

Does anyone have any practical advice for me on how to install this bagger, or has anyone else experianced this sort of problem with other accessories?

Thanks in advance.

Well, that stinks. If you feel you got ripped off then you certainly should return it all for a refund since that feeling will likely not go away. If you like it and want to keep it maybe one of the dealers has an assembled one on display that you can look at. That may give you the info you need on how to assemble it. ....
